Reviewing abstracts for conferences is a load of work. Mira simplifies the process with smart, intuitive software that keeps everyone in the review process organized and informed. The video below demonstrates how Reviewers can use Mira’s tools to streamline their work, and keep the conference Chair informed of their progress.
The first step for Reviewers is to login to Mira’s Review Conference Management Software. Then Reviewers can take a look at all the abstracts the Chair has assigned them. The Administrator would have already configured the software to reflect the organization’s preferences. For example, Reviewers might see the name of each abstract author, or see no authors’ names, since Mira gives Administrators the option of blind authors. Reviewers will always see the title of the abstract, its submission status, and the conference tracks where the researcher will participate.
Next, Reviewers can read and evaluate the abstracts during their session online, or they can opt to batch download abstracts and read them later at the kitchen table. Mira’s software makes it convenient for Reviewers to email abstracts to themselves, so they can read offline or online with ease.
After reading an abstract, Reviewers enter their evaluation into the system. The Rating and Recommend drop-down menus will be configured to their organization’s preferences. Administrators could opt to offer Reviewers recommendation choices such as “Accept,” “Reject,” “Pending,” or “Request Re-write,” for example. Additionally, Reviewers have a section to write in their comments. Administrators would have already decided if comments are required or optional, and could even have comments emailed directly to authors.
Reviewers can work at their own pace. They will see the status of their assigned abstracts when they login to a session. Mira’s software will keep the Chair informed of their progress as well.
Review Conference Management Software is simple and intuitive. But should any question arise, Mira’s associates are always happy to help. Reviewers can call (866) 341-9590 Monday – Friday from 8-5 Central Time.
